Parkland Health Center is pleased to welcome John Cooper, MD, OB-GYN. He will be accepting new patients at Medical Arts Clinic and will be on staff at Parkland Health Center.
Dr. Cooper received his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine. He then completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Dr. Cooper went into the field of OB-GYN because of the breadth of the specialty and to have the opportunity to impact his patients in all stages through preventive medicine, in-office procedures, surgery, emergency care, and on labor & delivery. “I value patient autonomy and use evidence-based medicine to provide the best care,” Dr. Cooper says.
At the Medical Arts Clinic, Dr. Cooper will provide comprehensive general obstetrics and gynecology care including, but not limited to, routine gynecological exams, contraceptive counseling, evaluation and treatment of endometriosis, infertility, and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, management of low and high risk pregnancies, urogynecology, hormone replacement therapy and vaccines.
Dr. Cooper is from Ontario, Canada, and has lived in Kansas City for the last four years with his wife and daughter. In his free time, Dr. Cooper enjoys spending time with his family doing activities such as cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, swimming, visiting water parks, amusement parks, museums and zoos.
