On July 29, the Parkland Health Center Cancer and Infusion Center celebrated its one-year anniversary of moving into the newly renovated, state-of-the-art, 6,500 square-foot treatment facility located on the fourth floor of the medical office building on Parkland’s Farmington campus.
This beautiful space allows the team to closely collaborate with our colleagues in our community while continuing our partnership with Missouri Baptist Cancer Center and its National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program to offer comprehensive cancer services and clinical trial participation at Parkland Health Center.
In its first year at the Farmington location, the team saw increased growth with 6,361 patient visits to Parkland’s combined cancer and infusion center, as well as 2,656 patient visits to the Oncology Clinic.
"Thanks to the meticulous planning by the BJC and Parkland teams, and the hard work of the Cancer Center staff and physicians, our first year has been remarkable" said John Spurgin, Cancer Center Manager. "We look forward to many more as we help our community and patients in the fight against cancer."
