Congratulations to Natalie Burns on her recent TULIP Award recognition!
"I am truly blessed and my patients are what make me love what I do," Natalie said. "I come to work daily just trying to be the light that the patients need. Some have no hope, and I just want to be that hope and smiling face for them."
There are just a few of the nominations Natalie received from patients:
- I was feeling lonely, and it was my birthday. Natalie made my birthday so special. She brought me a cake and everything I needed, plus she spent their own money to make me feel special on my birthday. Thank you. You are an angel.
- Natalie member was very sweet to me. She was energetic and prompt when helping me. She was so kind when my roommate started crying. My roommate said she was worried because her husband was coming and that she felt ugly. Natalie did her hair for her in the most beautiful French braid. She has a great attitude and is so friendly to everyone. I can't say enough good things about her. I feel very blessed to have gotten such great care. Sometimes being in the hospital gets lonely and you start to feel sad. Natalie has a great way of cheering people up.
- Natalie was a doll. She was very sweet and caring, and so willing to help us with anything we needed. I almost felt right at home.
The TULIP Award is a hospital-based recognition program that rewards and celebrates those who go above and beyond to provide outstanding, compassionate care to our patients and staff.
