Our mother, Mary, was a patient in your hospital for a fractured hip which required surgical repair. This was her first surgery or hospitalization since giving birth to me and my sister. Jared, her nurse, made her stressful situation positive by providing her with excellent, thoughtful and compassionate care. My sister and I want to publicly recognize and extend our gratitude to Jared for blessing our mother. He did so by going above and beyond, in the smallest, as well as, the most time consuming treatment and care. Thank you, Jared, for setting the bar for all medical professionals.

Just wanted to take a moment to say “thank you” to the ED staff that worked on the night of June 27. Their professionalism and compassion to our family during this time of sorrow was greatly appreciated. My wife’s uncle was dying, and they went above and beyond taking care of not just his physical needs but our family’s emotional needs as well. Special thanks to Dr. Raines, who took the time to sit down and explain what was going on, listened to our concerns and kept us informed of his situation and what they were doing. Also special thanks to ED nurses Sara, Stephanie and Deb for their kindness and support. They transferred him to the floor where he made it through the night and passed away the next morning. Special thanks to floor nursing staff, Debbie, Mary Ann and Jeanna for their compassion, concern and patience to our family. God bless each one of you. Doctors and staff don't hear it often enough. A BIG THANK YOU! I wanted to personally thank the hospital staff in the ER for June 25th care of my wife. She arrived at the ER about 11 a.m. complaining of chest pains. She got excellent care with Drs. Hunt and Roubey. The nursing staff was great too! That whole staff that day was wonderful!

Monday morning I fell and hurt my ankle. The wife drove me to your facilities in Farmington. After we found out that it was broken Mary put a splint on it. I just want to tell you I have been in many ERs and this was the best treatment that I have ever had. Everyone from the front desk until the time I left was very professional and in a good helpful mode. It was a pleasant experience. Thank you.

Parkland Health has been a life-saver for me on multiple occasions! Their patient care is incomparable! I recently suffered a TIA attack. Their paramedics were here in minutes...in time to actually witness the symptoms, which made for a much faster diagnosis. The nurses were great...very friendly, compassionate and solicitous of my needs. I was even provided with a special longer bed for my height and a mattress that constantly adjusted under me to prevent any bed sores. Even the food was great! A great big THANK YOU to all the doctors and staff at Parkland Health! Can't imagine what we'd do without you!

I was very pleased and impressed with the way I was treated here. All the nurses and aids were very nice to me. They provided anything I asked for and always in a timely manner. They never acted like they didn’t have time for me. I received extensive help and assistance, which I really appreciated. My pain was always under control. The experience couldn’t have been any better for me and my family. The whole staff and housekeeping crew were excellent.

I would like to say what a positive experience I had in your hospital. I had an excellent surgeon in Dr. Vaness, and a wonderful nurse who prepared me for surgery. The surgical floor was very, very nice and clean. The surgical staff was the best. They explained everything to me and made my stay very comfortable and worry free. I have another surgery coming up in the near future and am looking forward to it this time instead of apprehension. Thanks again from a very satisfied customer.

I would like to comment on the care given to me while was in your Hospital. The nurses are doing an outstanding job. I could not have received any better care anywhere. They were thoughtful and able to find a way of helping me. I could not use either of my hands so they had to assist me with eating and other things. I would like to name a few names that should be praised. They are Doris, Harriann, Hanna, Vickey, Debbie, Crystal, Gloria, Maggie, Rita and Lisa. It is a shame that you have to be sick to meet such a nice group of professional ladies. I would like everyone to know that you have a great ED, surgery and post-op staff. On my recent visit I was admitted and received emergency surgery. The ED staff did a wonderful job and kept me as comfortable as possible. Once admitted, the surgery staff took good care of me and after surgery the post-op staff were excellent. Since I have never been admitted to the hospital before, I was very nervous about the surgery and the type of care I would receive afterwards. Your staff did an excellent job and I would recommend this hospital in the future. ED nurses (Patsy & Kelli), surgery nurses (Janet), post-op nurses and patient care technicians (Jessica, Pat, Crystal, Harriann, Rae Ann and Denise), Marty and kitchen staff, and Dr. Gallagher. I appreciate everything that was done for me during my stay.

During my recent visit to the Parkland Health Center Bonne Terre facility's ED, I met the best person I have ever dealt with at the hospital. She was my nurse, Carla. She had the doctor come back into the room and explain things to me and listen to my concerns. She listened to me and made sure I was okay before I left. She completely changed my view of the hospital to a positive one. I want everyone to know how great a nurse Carla is, and we could only hope that all nurses would care like she does.

I have been in and out of the hospital a lot over the past few years, and the service and caring that I have received gets better each time I'm there. I would like to thank Amber (ICU) for the care and understanding that she provided to our daughter during her stay there. Not only did she provide for her medical needs, she also provided emotional support for all of us. She answered all our questions and was very much the professional nurse.

My daughter was in vehicle accident and we came to Parkland Health Center's Emergency Department. I can't begin to tell you what wonderful care we received. First came Chris -- very friendly, concerned and professional. He assessed her thoroughly. I knew we were in great hands. Kathy was our nurse. Once again, outstanding care. She was sweet, cheerful and very caring. Then Dr. DeGarmo was excellent. Some of the test reports were taking a while and he was very apologetic and kept looking in on us. Kudos to the Emergency Department staff.

I encountered several of your staff on my last stay at your hospital. They have my heartfelt gratitude for the excellent care they gave to me. It's nice to know when you are away from home -- during a hospital stay -- you have gathered angels to help with my care. I was impressed with the lab person who did my finger sticks. She was friendly and a beautiful smile. Really awesome at her job.

The lab personnel were very good and the two young men from the Radiology Department were FANTASTIC! It was a joy to see young men being concerned and personable. Recently, I brought my sister to the Emergency Room at Parkland with a broken arm. We want to commend the doctor (Dr. Clippard), the bone specialist (Dr. Piatkowski) and the nurses (Cindy Myers and Sandy Romines) for the professional and kind way we were treated.
My sister is from Kentucky and I was proud that the staff took such good care of her. The nurses were extremely helpful and should be commended as assets to your staff.
